One week hiatus

Its been about 1 week since the last time I post something here. Well, due to some frequent reader request, I think something must be posted in here.

Actually, I see than my blog is quite dull. Eventhough the design is smart (I am not praising myself, but I’m praising the theme maker), still it is just a blog full of text. Mind you, I’m aware of that.

Last 2 years, I always wanting a digital camera. One of the reason is, easier for me to post any photo here. Well, as you see, not a bit of photo here. Hurm…. Well… I’m too lazy… Either to edit it, or to upload it. :P

So now, I’m thinking what is the topic that I should write here…

I think I’ll tell you about Eid Adha.

Well, this year I’m not going to Cairo for celebration. I’m not sure by myself why, but I can list down the reasons. 1st, No one invite me. 2nd, someone wanting me to help him to held a party. 3rd, I’m Alexandrian now, so I think I must spent more time with Alexandria.. :P 4th, I want a truly holiday, for me to truly rest before going back to the Medical Books. I’m tired, you know.

p/s: documentary mode:

Eid Adha in Egypt, is totally different from Eid Adha in Malaysia. The most peculiar differences, is the rhythm of ‘takbir‘. In Malaysia, the takbir were usually done with a melancholic, with sad emotion and full of pitching-controlled rhythm. Thus, it is not a strange things for this takbir to be inserted in a sad Malay drama as it never fail to make us sad.

In the other hand, the Egyptian takbir are more or less in a high spirit tone. A ustaz told me that, the Eid were done during Islamic war, thus a high spirit takbir is necessary to lift  up the soldiers’ spirit.

Other than that, the Eid prayer were done quite early. About one hour after Fajr prayer. So, to prevent myself from missed the prayer, I rather staying up late. hehehe….

Other than that, everything is more or less the same. And the most event that I like during this year Eid, is that there are quite a lot of open house. Well, it is a good thing for our relationship, but bad thing for our stomach. :P .

–> to be continued… if any la…
